This role focuses on translating cutting-edge AI research into compelling online experiences, interactive installations, apps, and web experiences. The Creative Technologist will prototype novel interaction modes and creative applications of frontier AI models, collaborating with research, editorial, and communications teams to demonstrate AI capabilities and limitations to both technical and general audiences. The role involves full-stack development from concept to deployment, with a focus on building and maintaining tools for rapid prototyping.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build off-the-wall, unusual interactive experiences such as installations, apps, and web experiences that demonstrate model capabilities (and limitations)
  2. Collaborate with research teams to translate technical breakthroughs and model behaviors into tangible, user-facing demonstrations that grab the attention of our audience and make them think about AI in a different way
  3. Lead technical implementation for projects like [Vend](https://www.anthropic.com/research/project-vend-1), working with external partners to spec and develop new features
  4. Prototype novel interaction modes and creative applications of frontier AI models
  5. Identify high-impact storytelling opportunities and create technical artifacts, demos, and experiences for editorial, communications, and policy initiatives
