Responsibilities include providing rigging, running simulations (cloth, hair, rigid body, crowd, muscle), troubleshooting pipeline issues, and scripting tools. Experience with Maya, simulation shotwork, and anatomy is required, with bonus points for Houdini, C++, Python, and Linux.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide rigging and enveloping in Maya for various vehicles, characters, and creatures
  2. Run cloth, hair, rigid body, crowd, or muscle simulations
  3. Troubleshoot creature pipeline issues for artists in other disciplines
  4. Script utilities/tools/plug-ins in Maya
  5. Participate in reviews, dailies, and department meetings as required
