What you'd actually do

  1. Partners with relationship management and product partners to assess clients’ credit needs and create solutions
  2. Drives credit and risk approval processes for new credit originations, renewals, increases, and modifications
  3. Leads ongoing monitoring efforts for a portfolio of clients in compliance with regulations, policy and procedure
  4. Drives the growth of funded loans and revenue while mitigating risks, maintaining asset quality and adhering to regulatory requirements
  5. Serves as an escalation point for complex credit transactions

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in asset based and/or commercial lending
  • Experience in monitoring the credit health of asset based or commercial lending clients.
  • Strong knowledge and comprehension of loan and collateral documentation
  • Ability to accurately analyze borrower’s financial picture and deliver a comprehensive risk analysis to manager and risk officers
  • Confidence and ability to develop an independent viewpoint and present a business case to support conclusions
  • Excellent relationship management skills, experience working in a team environment, ability to help influence constituencies with diverse views towards consensus
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance
  • 10+ years of experience in asset-based lending and/or commercial lending
