Credit Review Senior Portfolio Specialist

This role focuses on assessing the quality of credit decisioning, portfolio management, and risk practices within Bank of America's credit platform. It involves leading examinations, identifying risks, and reporting findings to stakeholders, including executive management and regulatory agencies. The specialist will perform transactional testing, manage issues, and contribute to risk assessments and coverage plans, ensuring adherence to underwriting expectations and risk rating accuracy. The role also involves coaching junior team members and maintaining awareness of economic trends impacting credit portfolios.

What you'd actually do

  1. Participates in exam activities and/or periodically serves as an Examiner-in-Charge, Assistant Examiner-in-Charge or Examiner
  2. Performs transactional testing of credit process execution for new and existing clients, and provides direct and timely feedback on transactional reviews completed by others
  3. Provides assistance on portfolio reporting as needed and engages in stakeholder discussions alongside the Portfolio Manager
  4. Tracks and follows observations from exams and testing
  5. Provides regulator updates on results, and responds to inquiries

  • Extensive commercial credit related experience, including deep understanding of large or complex portfolios

  • Ability to coach/mentor new or less experienced associates
