Northrop Grumman is seeking a Crew and Equipment Design Engineer/Principal Crew and Equipment Design Engineer with experience in Design and integration in the Aerospace industry to join their team in Melbourne, FL. The role involves developing ICDs, layouts, and drawings of crew and equipment installations, NX modeling, and working with suppliers. Requires a STEM degree and relevant experience, with a Secret clearance required and ability to obtain Top Secret.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's in STEM discipline
  • 2 years of experience in design and integration of equipment (Level 2) OR 5 years of experience (Level 3)
  • Active In-Scope DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Active In-Scope DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Supplier Management Team (SMT) experience

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in STEM discipline
  • 3 years of experience in design and integration of equipment (Level 3)
  • Active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance
  • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience with the design, analysis and integration of environmental control systems
  • Software tools experience with NX and/or CPLM
  • Experience interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures
  • Experience writing/reviewing technical documents: SSOWs, SRDs, ICDs, SDRL reviews, etc.
  • Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary engineering teams
