Critical Component Product Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a Critical Component Product Engineer to enhance the performance, cost, and quality of their high-speed optical interconnect products. The role involves evaluating and introducing critical components, working with design and HW groups, qualifying new components, assessing reliability, evaluating performance, and setting up automation tools for manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics and data analysis, experience in IC/Silicon manufacturing, and knowledge of electro-optical devices and high-speed fiber optics.

What you'd actually do

  1. The candidate will be responsible for Critical component evaluation and introduction to our interconnect products.
  2. The candidate will work with design, HW and process groups to improve or resolve critical components aspects .
  3. New critical component Qualification and Reliability assessment.
  4. Evaluate High speed performance and margins of the critical component.
  5. Run DOE’s and corners samples analysis to evaluate system level performance under different use scenarios.

Skills

Required

  • BSc (MSc pref.) or equivalent - Strong statistics and data analysis background (JMP or other tools)
  • 3+ years of Experience in IC/Silicon manufacturing process including fab, test and assembly.
  • Good understanding of product/test HW/Test software/Mechanical integration
  • Experience or background in running a product in high volume production (ICs, systems or other).
  • Experience with statistics or data analysis tools , data extract tools.
  • Background with IC Lab measurements using source mete, Scope, spectrum analyzer, optical power meter etc.
  • Knowledge of electro optical devices (Lasers and Detectors).
  • Familiar with high speed fiber optics products, good understanding of system/IC assembly process.

Nice to have

  • Knowledgeable in DFT/DFM/DOE techniques.
  • Experience in electro optical assembly lines.
