What you'd actually do

  1. Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of our Datacenter operations
  2. Lead a team of Mechanical, Electrical and Control System professionals supporting Microsoft's online services
  3. Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in our Datacenters
  4. Maximize Critical Environment (CE) availability to ensure optimal operational efficiency
  5. Reduce high-impact and human-error Critical Environment (CE) incidents year over year

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ years experience of mission-critical service management
  • 1+ years experience in leading a diverse, technical team

Nice to have

  • 6+ years enterprise-level experience managing large scale and complex projects/programs
  • 6+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU)
  • 6+ years experience in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling)
  • Experience managing budget $1M+
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • 5+ years experience leading diverse, technical workforce or managing global and virtual teams
  • Applicable certifications: ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, CCNA Certifications, ITIL v3 Foundation, Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) Certifications, Leadership Development Certifications, PMP, CDCP
  • Experience working on large scale Critical Environment projects
  • Experience with the operation of IT infrastructure (Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.)
