This role is for a Critical Environment Program Manager at Microsoft's datacenter campus in Cheyenne, WY. What you'd actually do

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a datacenter
  2. Manage, plan control and organize the planned preventative and corrective electrical and/or mechanical equipment.
  3. Ensure that electrical, mechanical, and/or fire/life safety equipment within the datacenter is operating at peak efficiency.
  4. Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the datacenter, escalating to the Data Operations Manager as needed.
  5. Management of small-to-medium projects from conception to completion

Skills

Required

  • High School Qualification or equivalent AND 2+ years experience supporting IT equipment or related technology or delivering server and network deployment projects in large-scale environments
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

Nice to have

  • 2+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU) or working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling).
  • Technical College degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
