Develops curriculum content, learning assessments, and design/arts templates for K-12 education, ensuring alignment with curriculum guidelines and academic standards. Role involves content planning, research, and review, adapting existing texts into learning materials.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide topics and prescribe learning assessments based on the curriculum performance tasks to be used as the foundation of the Design/Arts templates to be produced.
  2. Develop the content plan and direction with the creative team.
  3. Review written creative briefs for new elements (illustrations, photos, and/or videos) and ensure topic relevancy and grade-level appropriateness.
  4. Review the curriculum alignment of the Design/Arts topics written by the creative team.
  5. Ensure the elements used are appropriate for their intended educational purpose, and the layout of the template facilitates the smooth flow of concepts.

Skills

Required

  • Experience in basic education and creating effective content for learning modules, textbooks, or e-learning platforms.
  • Ability to craft engaging lessons and creative assessment activities.
  • Ability to adapt various texts into learning materials.
  • Proficiency in identifying reputable sources and citing them.
  • Excellent command of English (sentence construction, spelling, grammar).
  • Ability to follow a project brief, clarify details, conduct research, and convert information into template copy.
  • Understanding of student and teacher needs in the current education landscape.
  • Expertise in US and AU Design/Arts curriculum for K-12.
