Custody Operations Transformation Analyst

This role supports strategic projects focused on enhancing processes, technology, and controls within Custody Operations at JPMorgan Chase. The analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify improvements, document requirements, and help implement solutions driving operational excellence. Key responsibilities include project management, stakeholder engagement, governance activities, analyzing systems and processes, documenting requirements, tracking project milestones, and supporting user acceptance testing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assist in managing and executing complex projects, ensuring deliverables are met with appropriate due diligence and system integration for Custody & Middle Office Services.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders across front office, product development, middle office, core operations, technology, and finance, including global partners in APAC and EMEA.
  3. Support governance activities such as IAS charter reviews, materiality assessments, exit plans, and annual governance questionnaires.
  4. Monitor industry trends and contribute to recommendations for strategic technology implementations.
  5. Help analyze system infrastructure and process flows to identify gaps and opportunities for productivity and efficiency.

Skills

Required

  • Experience in Custody Operations, Client Service, or Middle Office roles within financial services.
  • Exposure to strategic change initiatives or process improvement projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in preparing presentations and summary materials for stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the trade transaction lifecycle, cash management, and corporate actions.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of AI/ML, or blockchain technology in operational environments.
  • Experience with IAS charter maintenance, materiality assessments, exit plans, or governance questionnaires.
  • Experience documenting business requirements and supporting technology or product teams.
  • Exposure to business process re-engineering or location strategy initiatives.
