This role is for a Customer Account Executive at dbt Labs, a company focused on analytics engineering and data transformation, which supports AI use cases. What you'd actually do

  1. Own a portfolio of SMB and mid-market accounts with a dual focus: retention and growth
  2. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and manage them through the full sales cycle
  3. Own the full sales cycle from lead to close for our customers
  4. Serve as the primary point of contact for your customers; understanding their goals and flagging risks early
  5. Help shape and iterate on the at-scale commercial motion; this is a new function and your input matters

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of closing experience in technology sales
  • Proven track record of exceeding annual targets
  • Comfortable managing a high-volume book of business across SMB and mid-market accounts
  • Retention and expansion quota experience
  • Able to understand complex technical concepts and shape them into a consultative sale
  • Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills
  • Organised and diligent to manage long, multi-threaded sales cycles across multiple stakeholder teams
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Collaborative teammate
  • Experience with SQL or willingness to learn
