This role focuses on managing and enhancing strategic customer and partner relationships, reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer. The Customer & Partner Advocate will prepare for executive meetings, act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, and synthesize insights to inform company strategy. The role requires a deep understanding of MongoDB's products and strategy, with an interest in software, AI, and data technology.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with the CCO and Chief of Staff to prepare for high-priority customer and partner meetings — crafting thoughtful briefings, coordinating input from internal stakeholders, and ensuring clear follow-up and accountability
  2. Join customer and partner meetings with the CCO and senior executives, acting as an advocate for the customer and a connector between the CCO, Sales, and Product teams
  3. Build a deep understanding of MongoDB’s strategic accounts, identifying patterns, opportunities, and challenges that inform company strategy
  4. Ensure the CCO’s external engagement reflects MongoDB’s top priorities and amplifies our customer-centric culture as well as our efforts to drive more strategic partnerships
  5. Proactively monitor customer and partner announcements, market developments, and industry signals to identify moments where MongoDB can re-engage strategically. Surface relevant insights to the CCO and help initiate timely outreach to executive customer or partner stakeholders

Skills

Required

  • 3–5+ years owning strategic customer portfolios with direct accountability for C-level customer relationships and cross-functional initiatives
  • Ability to structure and synthesize ambiguous information into clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Deep empathy for customer needs and the ability to translate those into business outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to interact with senior executives and customers with polish and confidence
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive alignment across multiple teams
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a high sense of urgency to get things done
  • Interest in software, AI, and data technology; ability to quickly understand MongoDB’s products and strategy
