Data Architect

Intel Intel · Semiconductors · Oregon, Hillsboro, United States +2

This role is for a Data Architect within Intel's Corporate Planning Group Data and Analytics team. The primary focus is on driving insights and analytics through data analysis, requirement gathering, report development, data quality, governance, and validation. The role involves working with data used in various business functions like demand planning, supply planning, sales, manufacturing, and finance, and supporting data architecture strategy. While the role mentions using AI coding assistants as a preferred qualification, the core responsibilities are centered around traditional data architecture, BI, and reporting, not the direct development or deployment of AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Data Analysis: driving in-depth business data analysis to understand the origin, flow, level of detail, and meaning of data used to make decisions, as well as to identify both process-driven and system-driven data gaps or obstacles, along with recommended solutions.
  2. Data Requirements: proto-typing data/reporting solutions to drive a meeting of minds across multiple stakeholder groups so we can document and hand off fully vetted, implementable data requirements to IT development teams.
  3. Report + Report Dataset Development: designing, documenting, delivering innovative, configurable, highly supportable analytical reporting solutions based on standardized data definitions/practices and certified data sources established by IT.
  4. Data Quality + Governance: Partnering with IT, Data Governance, and subject matter experts to create and deploy effective data quality monitors and to advocate for strong data governance.
  5. Data Validation: Fully leading or supporting Test Lead in UAT Execution for newly developed or enhanced data integration and reporting solutions through orchestration with IT and subject matter experts.
