Data Center Customer AI System Enabling Engineer

This role focuses on enabling OEMs/ODMs to design and deploy AI/server systems incorporating Intel products. The engineer will provide architectural consultation, technical support, develop validation tools, create technical collateral, and evaluate innovative solutions for next-generation systems. The role also involves facilitating customer product ramps and collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure readiness and optimize performance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide architectural consult and technical support to enable OEMs/ODMs to design AI/server systems incorporating Intel products.
  2. Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to drive system design, development, and issue resolution for time-to-market readiness.
  3. Develop hardware and software validation tools for optimizing product quality and performance during project deployment.
  4. Create technical collateral, including product specifications, hardware design guides, and application notes to support development.
  5. Evaluate and design innovative solutions/tools/methodologies for next-generation Intel AI/server system readiness.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in hardware development, validation, or technical support for server/workstation product design.
  • Demonstrated experience with Intel Architecture Xeon-based server board and system design, including PCB assembly development.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Cadence Concept Schematic Capture and Allegro for PCB layout reviews.
  • Strong expertise in electrical development, power components, chassis design, and multi-board interoperability.
  • Hands-on experience in hardware validation, debugging, and optimization using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, BERT, TDR, and protocol analyzers.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-organizational projects, including requirements management, project planning, risk management, and execution.
  • Experience developing board and system products, including mechanical, thermal, electrical, BIOS, firmware, and power design.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across geographies and organizations.
  • Demonstrated tolerance for ambiguity and flexibility in addressing dynamic customer requirements.
  • Experience working with Open Compute Project (OCP) hardware modular design frameworks.
  • Ability to inspire teams and foster innovation within technical contributors.
