Data Center Electrical Systems & Rack Integration Engineer

Oracle Oracle · Enterprise · United States

This role focuses on the electrical engineering and rack integration for data center infrastructure, ensuring new hardware platforms are compatible with power systems and enabling necessary telemetry. It involves defining rack-level electrical architectures, power distribution, and characterization testing, with a preference for experience in high-density AI/GPU compute platforms.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define rack-level electrical architectures supporting high-density compute platforms.
  2. Translate hardware electrical requirements into deployable rack specifications compatible with OCI data center power infrastructure.
  3. Define integration requirements for rack electrical components including power shelves, rPDUs, busbars, cabling, and high-current connectors.
  4. Establish rack-level power distribution, redundancy models, and protection boundaries in coordination with data center electrical infrastructure teams.
  5. Define and support electrical characterization testing for new IT hardware platforms.
