Data Center Managing Counsel

Seeking an experienced managing counsel to support Oracle's Data Center and Networking legal team. The role involves structuring, negotiating, and closing critical agreements related to data center development, colocation, energy procurement, and network connectivity. This position requires significant experience in commercial negotiations and contracting, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality legal counsel.

What you'd actually do

  1. support continued dynamic growth in our Data Center and Networking legal team
  2. partner with Oracle stakeholders to help drive the growth and development of the Oracle Cloud
  3. structure, negotiate, and close critical agreements, while coordinating across internal teams to ensure alignment with company policies
  4. help drive best practices and contribute to the development of legal standards and processes within a rapidly evolving business
  5. transactions supporting data center development, including real property acquisition and leasing, customized energy solutions, colocation agreements, fiber connectivity, and renewable energy initiatives

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of relevant legal experience with technology, telecommunications, or data center operations
  • Admitted to practice law in the United States

Nice to have

  • advising on legal and regulatory issues related to data centers, cloud infrastructure, network connectivity, and interconnection agreements
  • drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for data center colocation, cloud service agreements, and network interconnection
  • work in a fast paced, collaborative, and dynamic team environment
