Project Manager for Microsoft Data Centers, responsible for managing IT equipment deployment and decommissioning, ensuring service delivery, adhering to safety policies, and collaborating with various teams. The role involves troubleshooting incidents, managing client and supplier relationships, and contributing to the overall efficiency and quality of data center operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Coordination of both the deployment & the decommissioning of Data Center IT Equipment & Infrastructure, utilizing process knowledge and experience to ensure team meet associated OKRs.
  2. Follow and adhere to safety and security policies and procedures. Report immediately any safety or security issues or concerns.
  3. Contribute to troubleshooting for service incidents and escalates, as appropriate, to meet SLA/OLAs, with minimal disruption to the client/customer and business.
  4. Recognize potential customer impact of other events and issues (e.g., customer lockdown), communicate potential impact, and plan for impact accordingly.
  5. Proactively review schedules and avoid conflicts when possible. Identify, coordinate, manage expectations, and offer alternatives when defining customer solutions.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Industry experience
  • College course work

Nice to have

  • Experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU)
  • Experience working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling)
  • Technical College degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Applicable certifications: ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, PMP, ITIL, CDCP
