This role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting servers, switches, and associated infrastructure in a data center environment. The technician will perform hardware start-up and shut-down, monitor system performance, and follow operational guidelines and safety procedures. The role requires basic knowledge of computer hardware and the ability to work shifts, with a focus on maintaining service quality and adhering to KPIs and SLAs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Install, rack, cable, and configure servers, switches, and associated infrastructure in accordance with standard procedures
  2. Perform hardware start-up and shut-down activities ensuring adherence to operational and safety standards
  3. Support hardware deployment activities, monitor system performance, and carry out basic trouble shooting tasks
  4. Follow established process, checklists, and operational guidelines while working under supervision
  5. Contributes to issue tracking through escalations, asking questions, and seeking guidance on timely resolution of issues from more experienced technicians.

Skills

Required

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components
  • Ability to work shifts
  • Valid driver's license
  • Fluency in conversational English

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology
  • CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+)
  • Basic Structure Cabling (BSC)
