What you'd actually do

  1. Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage devices, network equipment, and other hardware components in the data center.
  2. Quickly identify and resolve hardware and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  3. Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting network connections, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal data flow.
  4. Work closely with other teams (Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Operations Managers) to coordinate installations, upgrades, and problem resolution.
  5. Follow strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental guidelines, and company policies.

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in data center operations
  • Proficient in server hardware installation and troubleshooting
  • Experience with high-performance storage systems
  • Experience with networking equipment
  • Understanding of high-throughput networking
  • Understanding of data center cooling, power distribution, and backup systems
  • Experience with cable management and physical infrastructure best practices
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to diagnose issues across multiple system layers
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow detailed processes

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in a hyperscale data center or similar large-scale IT environment
  • Direct experience working with AI hardware, such as NVIDIA H100, AMD MI300, NVIDIA A100, or similar GPU-based accelerator systems
  • Experience with network infrastructure optimized for AI workloads
  • Understanding of InfiniBand and RDMA for data center communication
  • Familiarity with operating systems, including Linux, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications
  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent
  • Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA) or similar certifications
