Manages data center operations, including teams, maintenance, new builds, process improvement, vendor and internal team relations, and adherence to health and safety standards. Requires people management experience in an IT environment, knowledge of incident/problem/change management, and financial budgeting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Managing and developing teams of technicians, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance
  2. Maintaining existing co-located and in-house Data Centers
  3. Helping build and bring online new Data Centers
  4. Constantly improving all our processes and procedures. We believe there is nothing we cannot improve
  5. Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors

Skills

Required

  • Experience communicating complex business concepts in verbal and written form
  • 5+ years of people management experience within an IT environment
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of change, problem and incident management
  • Understanding of Financial budgeting, Capex and Opex concepts

Nice to have

  • Experience in systems administration (Linux or Windows)
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Lean techniques, PMP or similar standards preferred
  • Experience in a data center or other critical environment
  • Experience in one or more IT infrastructure domains (storage, compute, networking, security, software development, systems administration, database engineering or administration, machine learning, cloud infrastructure, big data, DevOps, or other IT infrastructure domain)
  • Experience in safety and security measures, ITIL foundation
