Data Centre Technician

This role is for a Data Centre Technician responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data centre equipment and infrastructure. The technician will act as a liaison between technology teams and the data centre environment, ensuring smooth operations and supporting critical projects. Key responsibilities include hardware/software support, component replacement, firmware updates, inventory management, and incident triaging. The role requires experience in a data centre environment, Linux background, and knowledge of data centre ecosystems (cooling, electrical, networking, cabling). The position also requires Australian citizenship and NV1 clearance or eligibility.

What you'd actually do

  1. Execute basic troubleshooting along with triaging incoming incidents in support of DC operations.
  2. Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimisation of all production server hardware and software.
  3. Communicate confidently and clearly with all stakeholders.
  4. Maintain strong adherence to processes and contribute to process improvements.
  5. Understand internal customer problems and deliver timely technical solutions.
