What you'd actually do

  1. Work closely with platform users and analysts to understand data requirements and functional needs
  2. Partner with data engineers to design and implement industry leading data architecture to support a highly scalable, reliable and performant platform
  3. Testing new data models and enhancements to ensure they meet end user requirements and expected results
  4. Maintain high quality technical and end user documentation to support the data models underpinning our platform solutions
  5. Implement, own and execute controls including data validation rules and reconciliations as part of our runbook

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business analytics or related domains
  • Formal training/certification with at least 2 years’ experience in data analytics or data engineering
  • Detail and control oriented with a good understanding of data quality concepts and solutions
  • Experience as a data architect, business analyst or as an end user driving data platform innovation
  • Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional, agile teams as well as independently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven SQL coding, ETL pipeline or data warehousing experience
  • Ability to translate problem statements into practical solutions and technical requirements
  • Self-starter and highly self-motivated

Nice to have

  • Retail banking domain experience is advantageous
  • Ability to deliver large scale or ‘big data’ platform solutions
  • Working as part of multi-location team
