This role focuses on establishing and scaling enterprise-grade data governance and leading advanced Workday analytics, bridging People Operations, Finance, and IT. The goal is to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance (SOX, GDPR), and leverage Gen AI for reporting. Responsibilities include defining data standards, managing compliance with GDPR and HIPAA, designing Workday reports, optimizing performance, maintaining SOX controls, and performing root cause analysis for data inconsistencies. The role requires expertise in Workday Reporting and data quality initiatives, with a preference for experience implementing Gen AI or automation frameworks within People Operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and maintain enterprise data standards, policies, and ownership models.
  2. Design complex Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Trending reports using Workday Prism and Discovery Boards.
  3. Maintain SOX controls, ITGCs, and automated data checks to ensure "audit-ready" reporting.
  4. Develop automated exception reporting and quality checks to proactively detect anomalies.
  5. Consult with People and Finance leaders to provide data-driven recommendations.

Skills

Required

  • 8-10+ years in Data Governance, HRIS, or Analytics
  • 5-8+ years of hands-on Workday Reporting
  • Expert knowledge of Workday data structures, security models, and complex calculated fields
  • Proven track record managing data quality initiatives and audit/compliance requirements

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of global data privacy regulations
  • Workday HCM or Reporting Certifications
