About the Team
Join Cyera's Data Operations team and help shape the quality of the AI systems powering our data security platform. You'll evaluate, improve, and validate AI-driven and rule-based data classification capabilities that protect some of the world's largest organizations.
This team serves as the quality foundation for our AI systems, sitting at the intersection of AI evaluation, data governance, and analytical problem-solving. You'll work closely with AI researchers, engineers, and product teams to evaluate AI outputs, investigate complex edge cases, build high-quality evaluation datasets, and improve the prompts and detection logic that power Cyera's platform.
** What You’ll Do**
- Evaluate and improve prompts, recognizers, and detection logic to enhance the accuracy and reliability of AI-powered data classification.
- Continuously monitor AI system performance, investigate quality regressions and emerging patterns, and partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize and implement improvements.
- Help define evaluation methodologies, quality standards, and best practices for AI-powered and rule-based detection systems.
- Build high-quality evaluation datasets by reviewing AI outputs, investigating edge cases, and validating classification results to continuously improve our systems.
Requirements
Must-Haves
- You have 2+ years of experience in an analytical, technical, research, or investigative role involving complex problem-solving.
- You have hands-on experience with Python for scripting, automation, or data analysis.
- You have familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
- You have strong critical thinking skills with the ability to investigate ambiguous problems and draw data-driven conclusions.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- You have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
** Nice-to-Haves**
- You have experience with prompt engineering, AI evaluation, or LLM-based workflows.
- You have experience building evaluation datasets or validating AI and data quality workflows.
- You have experience working with large-scale datasets, SQL, regex, or other pattern-matching techniques.
- You have familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- You have experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment.
- You have a B.A./B.S. in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Biology, Economics, Computer Science, or another analytical field or equivalent practical experience.
