Data Platform Sales Representative, Sled - Southern California (local)

This is a sales role for Oracle's data platform offerings, targeting State & Local Governments and Education institutions. The role involves understanding customer needs, building relationships, developing sales pipelines, and closing opportunities for cloud-based technology solutions. It requires experience selling SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and Database solutions, and familiarity with various cloud tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Understand what motivates State & Local Government and Education customers to adopt new technologies, what drives these sectors to innovate, and how to tap into their unique needs effectively.
  2. Work across the Oracle ecosystem and with technology partners to transform these organizations and help them create enduring capabilities to serve citizens and students.
  3. Develop and encourage long-term strategic relationships within select high-profile government and educational institutions.
  4. Build a robust, qualified pipeline and manage strategic, customer-centric account planning, crafting, owning, and forecasting deals aligned to public sector priorities.
  5. Serve as a trusted advisor and influencer in customer decisions to buy, architect, and adopt Oracle solutions tailored for government and education.
