What you'd actually do

  1. You will be required to use your business acumen along with analytical skillset to deliver data science projects that solve Visa’s business objectives.
  2. Based on findings from data-driven analysis, you will draw fact-based insights and make actionable recommendations that reflect the business and context.
  3. You will be required to work with large data sets using quantitative techniques and build complex statistical models that learn from big data and provide data visualization to enable business stakeholders consume the information.
  4. We have a highly collaborative process and you are required to work across multiple teams and functions for leading & developing cutting edge, creative and advanced analytic solutions.
  5. Support annual strategic planning process and development of long-range revenue growth plan, together with Visa’s economic (pricing and interchange)

Skills

Required

  • Minimum 10 years of analytical expertise in applying statistical solutions to business problems
  • Post graduate degree in Quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in working with real-world data sets and building scalable models from large-scale data
  • Hands on experience with multiple data analytics and data science programming tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, Hive, R, Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc
  • Proficiency in data visualization, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc
  • Knowledge of statistical and data science techniques such as neural networks, gradient boosting, logistic regression, advanced forecasting techniques, etc
  • English and Japanese language proficiency in formal business communication (verbal and written)
  • Results oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Good business acumen with strong ability to solve business problems through data driven quantitative methodologies.
  • Experience in presenting ideas and analysis to stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience in cards/payments, retail banking, or retail merchant industries is important
  • Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style, with the ability to tailor data driven results to various audience levels
  • Detail-oriented and able to ensure highest level of quality/rigor in reports & data analysis
