Data Scientist, Core Product

Glean Glean · Enterprise · Data

Glean is seeking a Data Scientist for its Core Product team to build and measure AI-powered assistant products for knowledge workers. The role involves defining and building data assets, KPI definitions, data pipelines, and dashboards to track product performance. The Data Scientist will also identify opportunities to improve KPIs and influence cross-functional teams, focusing on areas like AI agents, structured data analysis, and integrating Glean into third-party surfaces.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and build data assets, e.g. KPI definitions, data pipelines and dashboards, to measure the performance of AI-powered assistant products for knowledge workers.
  2. Glean Data science takes pride in spear-heading logging improvements to improve our nascent product telemetry, has deep craft in data modeling to make it easy to build several data products based on the same accurate source of truth, and builds effective visualizations to make cross-functional partners self-serve with their analytics.
  3. Once you establish resilient measurement foundations, selectively invest your time in a subset of your large product scope to identify opportunities to improve these KPIs, and influence cross functional teams to incorporate associated changes into their roadmaps.
  4. As you do that, you’ll create and maintain further quantitative frameworks and methodologies, e.g. bring more rigor into quantitative assessment of product-market-fit.
