This role focuses on building and scaling a data-driven culture within an AI company, specifically for safeguards. The Data Scientist will analyze user behavior, define key metrics, identify opportunities for product improvement, design and analyze experiments, and establish data best practices to inform product and commercial strategy for safe, frontier AI deployment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Deep dive into user behavior data to provide insights on safety concerns
  2. Define core metrics that measure the team's success. Set goals, build forecasts, monitor performance, and develop actionable reporting
  3. Identify and size opportunities to improve the product, influencing product roadmap through your insights and recommendations
  4. Develop hypotheses on product changes, design controlled experiments, analyze the results, and make recommendations based on impact to key metrics
  5. Build a data driven culture from the ground up by establishing foundational data best practices and making data more accessible across the company
