Job summary
As a Senior Associate Data Scientist in Home Lending Data & Analytics supporting Marketing, you deliver insights and measurement that inform home lending strategy and marketing execution. You work with stakeholders to frame problems, define success metrics, and translate analysis into decisions. You recommend and support marketing offer tests by helping ensure sound test design and statistically meaningful learnings. You enable data-driven marketing by supporting targeting, segment sizing, and incremental lift forecasting for predictive models built by a dedicated modeling team. You communicate findings clearly so teams can act and continuously improve performance.
Job responsibilities
- Identify and communicate meaningful trends, patterns, and actionable insights across marketing, sales, product, and strategy
- Understand stakeholder needs, ask strong questions, and challenge assumptions to improve decision-making
- Recommend and support marketing offer tests by advising on test design, setup, and measurement to drive statistically meaningful learnings
- Support targeted marketing campaigns by sizing segments and forecasting incremental lift for predictive models built by the modeling team
- Source, reconcile, and synthesize data from multiple platforms to explain performance and recommend improvements
- Analyze customer behavior and campaign engagement to determine where touchpoints are most effective across the journey
- Provide high-quality data inputs and analytical support that improve model performance and predictive power
- Partner with sales strategy to design pilot programs, measure outcomes, and support production rollout when successful
- Produce clear, concise analysis and narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Three years of experience in a business analyst role or similar position
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to break down ambiguous problems, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders through clear, confident storytelling
- Strong SQL skills, including joining and merging data across multiple sources
- Experience with at least one of the following: Python, SAS, R, or Alteryx
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience designing, supporting, or evaluating tests or experiments using basic statistical concepts (for example, significance and lift)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in mortgage banking
- Experience with marketing and/or CRM data
- Experience supporting targeted marketing campaigns, measurement, or attribution approaches
