Data Signals Engineer for Apple Pay focusing on uncovering and prototyping fraud-deterrent signals within the iOS ecosystem, bridging data science, threat analytics, and mobile engineering.

What you'd actually do

  1. Your mission is to uncover novel fraud‑deterrent signals within the iOS ecosystem, prototype them in a production‑ready way, and hand them off to our Data Science and iOS Engineering teams for full deployment.
  2. You will perform continuous quality analysis and provide internal tools to help ensure that quality of the products we ship to customers are of the highest standard.
  3. The group comprises teams of Software Developers, Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Data Scientists that focus on crafting and implementing fraud prevention mechanisms, systems and tools to guarantee that new devices, software and features in our services, provide the safest experience to our customers.

Skills

Required

  • Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodology, and testing tools
  • Excellent programming skills in Swift & Objective-C with knowledge of Scala, Kotlin, Python and other related languages and frameworks
  • Proven understanding of computer science fundamentals
  • Experience in data related disciplines such as Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Nice to have

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently
