This role drives the strategic direction of data and AI initiatives within a large financial institution, focusing on AI and Agent Native data strategy. It involves partnering with various stakeholders (compliance, legal, tech, cybersecurity) to define requirements, develop business/product requirements for engineering teams, and test/design evaluations for LLM and agent outputs. The role also involves creating data artifacts using LLMs and agents, and promoting data culture. It requires experience with AI tooling and LLMs, and familiarity with agile methodologies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and document stakeholder requirements for data and artificial intelligence strategy, translating business needs into actionable plans.
  2. Partner with compliance, legal, government relations, technology, and cybersecurity teams.
  3. Develop business and product requirements for engineering teams, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic objectives. Ensure software built meets those requirements.
  4. Test LLM and agent outputs for accuracy.
  5. Design LLM and agent “as judge” tests for outputs.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Technology, or a related field.
  • 6 + years of experience in finance, operations, data, or technology within a leading financial institution or similarly complex organization.
  • Demonstrated experience working with artificial intelligence tools, frameworks, and initiatives in a professional setting.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various levels of management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple lines of business and functions in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and executive presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the flexibility to engage across functions, locations, and businesses.
  • Familiarity with agile project management tools such as Jira.
  • Experience with modern AI tooling and LLMs.

Nice to have

  • Experience testing AI outputs for accuracy.
  • Experience translating technical AI or data science concepts for non-technical business audiences.
  • Familiar with semantics and the creation of semantic layers for data.
  • Familiar with industry data vocabularies, such as DCAT.
  • Comfortable giving live presentations in multiple forums.
