Supabase is seeking a Database Support Engineer to join their Support Team, focusing on helping developers resolve complex issues with their Postgres development platform. The role involves investigating and resolving issues across various Supabase services, providing proactive advice, reproducing bugs, and improving product quality based on user feedback. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in technical support, databases, and troubleshooting complex systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Investigate and resolve advanced customer issues across Postgres, Auth, RLS, Storage, Realtime, Edge Functions, and client libraries.
  2. Provide consultative, proactive advice to optimize workloads, avoid common pitfalls, and offer tailored advice to our most advanced users.
  3. Reproduce bugs, isolate root causes, propose workarounds, and escalate to engineering with solid reproduction steps.
  4. Ask smart, targeted questions that turn incomplete reports into actionable cases.
  5. Communicate clearly and empathetically with users of all levels—especially during high-impact or time-sensitive situations.
