Datacenter Netdeploy Lead - Stargate

OpenAI OpenAI · AI Frontier · United States · Remote · Scaling

This role is responsible for the end-to-end execution of physical network deployments in data center environments, bridging Network Engineering, Capacity Delivery/Construction, Data Center Engineering, and Operations. The role involves leading network deployments, overseeing equipment installation, fiber termination, testing, vendor management, and ensuring adherence to standards and processes for AI infrastructure.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead full lifecycle physical network deployments for new builds, expansions, and refreshes.
  2. Translate network topologies, cabling designs, and BOMs into executable field plans and sequencing.
  3. Oversee and/or coordinate rack-and-stack of network equipment (switches, OOB, ancillary network systems).
  4. Oversee and/or coordinate fiber trunk pulls, routing, and termination to patch panels / equipment.
  5. Drive port-to-port verification, continuity testing, and validation sign-off.
