Deal Desk Analyst

Salesforce is seeking a Deal Desk Analyst to evaluate, structure, and approve commercial quotes for their Japan, Korea, and Taiwan (JKT) commercial business segments. The role involves mitigating risks, ensuring policy compliance, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimize sales territories. The analyst will work with account teams to apply pricing tools and playbooks, maintain data accuracy, and support the Deal Desk team's goals. The position requires proficiency in Japanese and business English, strong analytical skills, and experience with CRM and CPQ platforms, including AI-powered tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the end-to-end review and approval workflow for commercial business quotes, ensuring alignment with corporate pricing policies, legal terms, and margin guidelines.
  2. Partner in an advisor capacity to Commercial Sales Leadership, account managers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth, high-velocity quote generation.
  3. Work autonomously with commercial account teams to structure quotes, while demonstrating strong judgment on when to bring in senior help or escalate complex scenarios at the right times.
  4. Drive a swift path forward on deals by consistently and accurately applying standard pricing tools, discount matrices, and commercial playbooks.
  5. Proactively engage Commercial Sales Leadership on complex or non-standard quotes to ensure they receive the right level of commercial support, adding value by recommending viable alternative structures.

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in quote-to-cash operations, commercial deal desk, sales operations, financial analysis, or a relevant commercial support function.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Professional proficiency in Japanese and business English are required.
  • Strong analytical background with high attention to detail, ensuring quote metrics, discounts, and numbers are always accurate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, think on your feet amidst transactional ambiguity, and prioritize competing quote requests effectively.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain commercial policies and quote compliance parameters clearly to sales teams.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to working collaboratively to drive team results.
  • Proficiency in using CRM and CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) platforms, as well as AI-powered tools, to support quote analysis and workflow efficiency.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting a high-velocity Commercial or SMB (Small and Medium Business) sales segment within the SaaS/Software industry is a plus.
  • Prior experience utilizing Salesforce CPQ or similar enterprise quoting platforms.
  • Fluency in Korean or Mandarin is a plus.
