Target is hiring a Deli Production Expert to prepare quality products in the Deli, manage inventory, ensure food safety, and provide excellent guest service. Responsibilities include preparing food items, maintaining freshness and stock levels, operating equipment, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards. The role requires a welcoming attitude, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail.

What you'd actually do

  1. Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:
  2. Deliver an exceptional guest experience, providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task.
  3. Engage with guests to capture and fulfill their customized Deli order.
  4. Execute food and beverage processes, including food deliveries, replenishment, straightening merchandise, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing and organizing and storing reserve product.
  5. Produce, package and label items to specifications on production cards and follow specific department routines to drive sales, instocks and profitability.

  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed

  • Climb up and down ladders if needed.
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others.
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks
  • Ability to work in environments that will include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions; where common allergens may also be handled or present.
