Our consultants will deliver pilot projects, topical workshops, and lead implementation projects using database application development expertise. Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.

Key job responsibilities We are looking for hands on architects/developers who are passionate about: · Helping customers architect scalable, highly available database solutions that leverage AWS services · Developing customer applications and database to be cloud optimized . Analyze on-premises database environments such as Oracle, SQL*Server, or other Commercial DB Engines to Open Source Engines like Aurora-PostgreSQL/MySQL or No-SQL DB like DynamoDB. · Consult for optimal design of database environments, analyzing complex distributed production deployments, and making recommendations to optimize performance · Working as a technical leader along side customer business, development and infrastructure teams · Advising and implementing AWS best practices

The Professional Services team at AWS is responsible for assisting enterprise customers as they shift to the cloud by incorporating our services into their overall architecture. We work hand-in-hand with customer teams and AWS partners to provide deep expertise in the architecture, design, development, and implementation of cloud computing initiatives that result in real business outcomes. Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of IT implementation experience
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies
- Experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
- Experience in heterogeneous database migration such as Oracle to Aurora
