Deloitte Cyber Full-stack Engineer/consultant

This role is for a Full Stack Engineer on Deloitte's Cyber Engineering team, focusing on building cybersecurity technology capabilities. The engineer will design, develop, and enhance applications across frontend and backend environments, working with modern engineering practices and cloud-based technologies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions is key. The role involves translating business needs into technical solutions, building and integrating APIs and microservices, and supporting product quality through testing and CI/CD practices.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborating with business stakeholders, engineers, and team leadership to translate business needs into technical solutions
  2. Designing, developing, testing, and enhancing full stack applications across frontend and backend technologies
  3. Building and integrating application programming interfaces, microservices, and cloud-based services to support product functionality
  4. Supporting product quality through code reviews, testing, debugging, and continuous integration and continuous deployment practices
  5. Contributing to technical analysis, solution design, and delivery activities that support client outcomes and product development

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a similar technical field
  • 1-3+ years experience in the following areas
  • Ability to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Nice to have

  • Experience with object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean coding practices
  • Experience building secure, reusable, responsive, and maintainable applications
  • Experience with secure development practices, DevOps, DevSecOps, web security, GitOps, or Kubernetes customization
  • Experience with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Neo4j, Memgraph, Maven, or Gradle
  • Experience with Bootstrap, jQuery, or JavaServer Pages in legacy or mixed-technology environments
  • Cloud certification in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
