This role is for a Demand/Supply Planning Manager at Boeing, focusing on applying supply chain concepts, preparing forecasting projections, managing material requirements, and leading complex supply chain issues. It involves identifying integration interfaces, leading program metrics, developing communication plans, modeling supply/demand matching, optimizing execution, monitoring KPIs, and managing customer allocations. The role requires understanding system inter-relationships, systems thinking, teamwork, and exposure to data management concepts. Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management or related areas, strategic planning experience, aviation/transportation industry experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and experience with SPM Planning tools or similar ERP/SCM software.

What you'd actually do

  1. Applies supply chain concepts using technical knowledge of SCOR model practices
  2. Prepares forecasting projections to influence inventory decisions
  3. Prepares and executes request for material requirements
  4. Leads development of top level plans for highly complex supply chain issues.
  5. Identifies key functional level horizontal and vertical integration interfaces between demand & supply planning, suppliers, partners and customers.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of related work experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Support, or Materials Management, Aviation/Airline Planning and Supplier Management
  • 5+ years of experience in a role requiring strategic planning (asset/program management)
  • 5+ years in Aviation/Transportation or Airlines/MRO and OEM’s within Aviation required
  • 5+ years with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Advanced Excel modeling, and Word
  • Experience with SPM Planning tool or JDA, Logility, Manugistics, Blue Yonder or Kinaxis

Nice to have

  • MBA preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment is highly desired
  • Experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements and an applied understanding of Lean practices
  • Communication skills, collaboration, and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role
  • Exposure to data management concepts and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Experience with basic ERP system functionality, SAP or similar tool
  • Experience working in a multi-functional team environment
