Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Deployable Principal (Level 3) or Sr Principal (Level 4) Logistics Management Analyst to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in Palmdale, CA.
You will control the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements. Ensure customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints to meet marketing and financial objectives. Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data information systems administration and related functions. Build relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrate learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.
Roles and Responsibilities will also include:
- Establish and direct maintenance training systems, conduct classroom, self-paced learning, and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aviation associated systems, ground support equipment, tools, test equipment, and facilities, according to established procedures.
- Provide formal instructor training to other Maintenance Trainers.
- Analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs.
- Write, edit, and sustain training material for instruction.
- Provides guidance and supports all divisions in determining their training needs and developing and conducting their maintenance training programs.
- Maintain currency in technical developments, technical training, audiovisual techniques, and should be proficient in teaching methodologies.
This position may be offered at the Principal or Sr Principal Level and will require up to 50% Travel
Basic Qualifications Principal Logistics Management Analyst:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of Logistics, supply chain, or related experience; OR a Master’s degree and 3 years experience.
- Experience in procurement and the use of SAP, ASAP System (BarCloud)
- Must be able to work in an approved environment during specified work hours and will frequently move and position objects weighing 30-50 lbs. overhead.
- Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
- Must be able to meet medical requirements for worldwide travel.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
- Willingness to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 180 days within a rolling year away from primary work location to support business needs.
- Willingness to perform required work in Palmdale, CA and other locations as determined by business needs.
- Willingness to travel 180 days in a rolling year.
- Ability to complete Hazardous Materials / Dangerous Goods training and maintain ongoing current certifications for DOT, IATA, and AFMAN24-204
- Maintain timely extensive training compliance requirements for health and safety, business compliance, and job-related requirements.

Preferred Qualifications Both Levels:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in logistic related field with experience in mobility and load planning.
Primary Level Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $128,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $106,800.00 - $160,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
