Deployable Tool Crib Attendant 2

This role is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining tools, equipment, and hazardous materials in a tool crib environment. It involves inventory management, minor repairs, calibration checks, and data entry for tracking purposes. The position requires adherence to safety procedures and potentially flexible work schedules, including on-call status.

What you'd actually do

  1. Receives, stores, and issues tools, support equipment, consumables, HAZMAT, and other related items.
  2. Maintains records of tools issued to employees; takes periodic inventory and requisitions stock as needed; reports damaged, worn out, or missing equipment using computers to enter transactions, validate information and maintain database.
  3. Cleans, oils, and performs minor repairs on equipment; disposes of surplus or obsolete equipment in accordance with established procedure.
  4. Ensures that measuring devices are periodically calibrated.
  5. Will work alongside Northrop Grumman and U.S. Government personnel at Edwards AFB, CA.

Skills

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of additional education and/or experience in a tool crib, maintenance/manufacturing environment, or tool inventory control position
  • Excellent knowledge of tools and their intended use
  • Tool accountability
  • Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and Safety programs
  • Willing to work a flexible work schedule
  • Support on call status
  • Meet medical requirements and vaccinations for worldwide travel
  • Valid state issued driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport
  • Accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 90 days away from primary work location
  • Comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training and immunizations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an U.S. Government Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • Perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work
  • Experience with and comfortability using forklifts
  • Able to stand/walk for 75% of the workday and at least 2 hours at a time

Nice to have

  • Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher
  • Valid U.S. passport
  • Intimate knowledge of TCMax® and/or similar tool control software systems
  • Prior aircraft flight line environment experience
  • Prior HAZMAT experience and relevant qualifications
  • Intimate knowledge of the workings of PMEL / TMDE / and calibrated tools and processes
