Deployment Strategist, Build to Apply - US Government

Palantir Palantir · Enterprise · San Diego, CA · Echo

This role focuses on deploying Palantir's software solutions to government clients, acting as a bridge between customer problems and the company's technology. While AI/ML tools are permitted for project building, the core function is problem-solving, data integration, and customer engagement, rather than direct AI/ML model development or research. The role involves understanding customer needs, identifying data sources, building bespoke workflows, training users, and presenting results, with an emphasis on applying technology to solve complex, real-world problems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Go onsite and meet with customer analysts to understand the critical questions they need to answer and locate their biggest pain points
  2. Identify relevant datasets through deep engagement with customer problems and workflows, and work with Forward Deployed Engineers to integrate the data into a stable and extensible pipeline
  3. Work with the customer to build bespoke workflows for new user groups
  4. Lead training sessions to ensure that the product is meeting user needs, and to ensure it is being used widely enough to have concrete impact on our partners' operations
  5. Present the results of our work and proposals for future work to audiences ranging from analysts to C-suite executives
