Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building advanced military systems. This role focuses on engineering sustainment for a large air vehicle program, scaling production and fielding across multiple locations. The Deputy Chief Engineer will lead technical and programmatic execution, own program success, assemble teams, and coordinate integration of design changes into production and testing. The role requires deep understanding of unmanned vehicles/robotics, leadership experience in production/deployment, and troubleshooting remotely deployed systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead technical and programmatic execution of an existing air vehicle system’s design, fabrication, test, production, and deployment.
  2. Own the technical and programmatic success of your program, establish technical and programmatic vision, assemble teams of internal and external subject matter experts, and communicate that vision to them.
  3. Coordinate the integration of design changes into active production lines and subsystem/system level test efforts.
  4. Work with other lead engineers across the organization & multiple customers to ensure success of the product in the field.
  5. Work with senior leadership to ensure resource plans are adequate for work scope.

Skills

Required

  • Deep understanding of unmanned vehicles/robotics
  • Leadership experience in production and deployment
  • Strong understanding of Vehicle and Systems design
  • Experience leading teams
  • Troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Software engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
