Deputy Director for Connected Warfare in Europe, responsible for leading and scaling the division, driving program execution, business growth, and operational excellence. The role involves strategic leadership, business development, operational oversight, reporting, team management, and stakeholder collaboration, focusing on deploying mission-critical capabilities for European Defence partners.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with the Head of Europe to set and execute the regional strategy. Deputise as required in all leadership functions, including senior customer and internal engagements.
  2. Drive in-account growth and new business opportunities across the region. Lead bid and proposal activities, shape on-contract growth strategies, and ensure the division meets its growth targets.
  3. Oversee the entire portfolio of European programmes, ensuring successful execution that exceeds customer expectations and meets financial commitments. Build and refine processes to drive efficiency and scalability.
  4. Own the division's operational reporting cadence. Manage and deliver monthly and quarterly reports on programme status, financial health, and strategic objectives to leadership. Ensure data integrity and utilisation of Salesforce for forecasting and pipeline management.
  5. Lead headcount planning and forecasting for the division. Work with programme leads to identify staffing needs, manage resource allocation, and coordinate hardware demand signals to ensure the team is equipped for success.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in program management, business development, or a related leadership role, preferably within the defense, national security, or government technology sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio of large-scale, complex software and hardware programs.
  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth, including leading bid/proposal efforts and securing on-contract growth.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management, forecasting, and P&L responsibility for a department or division.
  • Experience in a leadership role with responsibility for team performance, headcount planning, and strategic planning.
  • Deep understanding of government and defense contracting processes in Europe and NATO.
  • Expertise in developing and managing program metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reporting. Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate with confidence and credibility at the most senior levels.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NATO Secret (or higher) security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support regional objectives (up to 75%).

  • Direct experience working with NATO and European Defence Ministries.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing best practices that drive operational efficiency and sustainable growth in a tech organization.
  • Experience with both hardware and software development lifecycles in an agile environment.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Direct people management experience.
