Deputy Program Manager

This role is for a Deputy Program Manager at Oracle, focusing on managing complex cloud or infrastructure programs for Public Sector customers. The DPM will partner with various stakeholders to drive execution, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of contractual obligations. The role requires strong leadership, experience in cloud environments, and a deep understanding of the technology delivery lifecycle.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and collaborate across diverse, matrixed teams to achieve PMT objectives
  2. Support execution of large-scale cloud and infrastructure programs for Public Sector customers
  3. Identify, assess, and manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities across multiple lines of business
  4. Provide recommendations to improve integration and alignment across interfacing programs and projects
  5. Support development of program-level briefings, documentation, and decision-support materials

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, with 14+ years of relevant experience
  • Active security clearance
  • Demonstrated experience managing cloud or infrastructure programs for Public Sector customers
  • Strong understanding of cloud migration, modernization, and hybrid cloud delivery models
  • Experience supporting PMT-level program execution and governance activities
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior customer and industry stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working within complex, highly matrixed delivery organizations

Nice to have

  • PMP, PgMP, or similar program management certification preferred
  • Experience working within large system integrator or consulting organizations
  • Strong understanding of cloud operations, sustainment, and transition-to-operations models
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or highly regulated customer environments
  • Ability to identify opportunities for customer expansion, operational improvement, and strategic account growth
