Boeing is seeking Cabin Systems Engineers to develop electronic and electrical system requirements, analyze and translate them into system architecture, hardware/software designs, and interface specifications. The role involves testing and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements across Boeing Commercial aircraft, with a focus on onsite work in Long Beach, CA. Responsibilities include collaborating with customers and suppliers, leading design and testing efforts, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and mentoring new employees. The position requires adherence to export control compliance and a "U.S. Person" status.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborates with customers and suppliers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
  2. Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
  3. Leads and executes tests and validates hardware/software to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  4. Perform laboratory integration testing as required
  5. Participating in airplane ground and flight tests as required

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree
  • 3+ years of full-time aerospace industry experience within Avionics, Electrical, Software, Cabin Systems, Inflight Entertainment Systems, Connectivity systems or Electro-Magnetic Effects

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a role which required knowledge of MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-461, DO-160, DO-178, IEC-61000, and / or FCC part 15
  • 1+ years of experience leading an integrated product team of engineers, supplier management and quality specialists, and certification experts through the design and delivery of certified hardware
