What you'd actually do

  1. Support Boeing Commercial Airplanes product design certification for production models including 777X, 787 and KC-46 Tanker aircraft.
  2. Develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements.
  3. Design hardware, software, and interface specifications for avionics systems.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional BCA teams across the company.
  5. Write and execute test procedures in test benches, simulators, or certification flight-test environments; validate and verify that system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science)
  • 3+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrates willingness to learn and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of FAA certification and airworthiness requirements
  • Experience in test planning, setup, test development, execution, conducting tests in a lab or production environment.
  • Experience in performing design, integration, and/or testing on avionics sub-systems, performing environmental testing.
