Design Change Engineering Program Manager

Meta Meta · Big Tech · Reston, VA +1

This role is for an Engineering Program Manager focused on design change management within Meta's Data Center Engineering and Construction team. The role involves leading end-to-end program execution, driving cross-functional alignment, managing dependencies, and optimizing processes. A key aspect is evaluating design change requests, operating Change Control Boards, and ensuring adherence to policies. While the role requires understanding and integrating AI tools to optimize workflows and adhering to ethical AI practices, the core function is program management and process optimization for data center infrastructure, not direct AI/ML model development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead end-to-end program execution by developing complex problem statements, defining clear milestones, and driving schedules to decision points and implementation
  2. Partner cross-functionally (Engineering, Facilities, E/M, Construction, Network, Cabling, Security, and business owners) to define requirements, align scope, and ensure execution readiness
  3. Drive decision-making with rigor by collecting required inputs and producing recommendations grounded in trade-off analysis across scope, schedule, cost, and risk
  4. Communicate design direction and outcomes clearly across multiple organizations, ensuring alignment, accountability, and fast issue resolution
  5. Synthesize technical inputs into executable plans by reviewing cross-disciplinary documentation, validating needs, and packaging requirements into cohesive delivery artifacts
