This role is for a Design Research Lead at Capital One, focused on understanding customer and associate experiences through primary research, assessments, and testing. The lead will translate business drivers into research strategies, consult with Product leadership, and ensure insights are leveraged for maximum impact. Responsibilities include defining research agendas, executing studies, analyzing data, providing actionable recommendations, and scaling research impact across the organization. The role also involves influencing strategic direction and collaborating with cross-functional teams. It requires expertise in user experience research, quantitative and qualitative research methods, and data analysis.

What you'd actually do

  1. Consults with Product teams to create and maintain clear research agendas and roadmaps.
  2. Executes high-quality research and ensures appropriate touchpoints for cross-functional partners are maintained throughout the process.
  3. Applies expertise in human factors and human behavior to analyze and synthesize research data, surfacing relevant and actionable insights that directly answer research questions and produces all promised deliverables.
  4. Authors useful, pragmatic, and concrete recommendations.
  5. Increases the altitude and aperture of research to create additional leverage.

What the JD emphasized
