Design Verification Student Worker

This role is for a Design Verification Student Worker at Intel, focusing on SoC design and implementation for next-generation SoCs. The candidate will explore and implement new design methodologies that utilize AI engines and modern hardware description languages. Responsibilities include IP to SoC integration, developing automation scripts, debugging digital simulations, and collaborating with design engineers. The role requires pursuing a Master's or PhD in a related field with at least one year remaining, and experience in digital design, programming/scripting, hardware description languages, and pre-Si validation.

What you'd actually do

  1. exploring and implementing new design methodologies that make use of AI engines and modern hardware description languages
  2. IP to SoC integration
  3. Develop automation scripts
  4. Performing and debugging digital simulations, and driving to closure of bugs
  5. Working closely with design engineers, micro-architects, and other team members to implement efficient design methodologies

Skills

Required

  • Master's or PHD's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, with at least one year remaining before graduation
  • 4 months of experience in: Digital design, ASIC design flow and computer architecture
  • At least one programming/scripting languages such as C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python, and Unix (Linux)
  • Hardware description languages (such as VHDL, Verilog or System Verilog)
  • Basic skills pertaining to pre-Si validation, examples include logic simulators (Xilinx, Quartus, Modelsim, VCS)
  • Debug capabilities
  • Advance English level
  • Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico
