We are seeking a mid-level Fullstack Developer (backend leaning) to join our new Growth Team, focused on building net-new self-serve experiences, evolving the underlying systems and integrations that power Product Growth, and driving rapid experimentation and feedback loops across our expanding B2B product suites.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of professional software development experience in a production SaaS environment.
- Experience building backend services in a modern language (e.g. Go, Node.js, Ruby, or Python).
- Experience with React and/or TypeScript in customer-facing web applications.
- Experience designing and integrating backend systems, including APIs, event-driven workflows, and data models that enable reliable cross-service communication.
- Comfort working in fast iteration cycles and using data to inform decisions.
- Strong collaboration skills and curiosity - growth is a cross-functional discipline.
What you can expect:
- Design and deliver net-new self-serve experiences that drive expansion, activation, engagement, and experimentation.
- Partner closely with product, design, and data to define hypotheses, success metrics, and experiment plans.
- Build high-quality, secure, and performant features that balance growth goals with enterprise trust.
- Contribute to experimentation infrastructure (feature flags, event schemas, reporting loops) and improve our internal growth motions.
- Review code, share knowledge, and foster a supportive, feedback-friendly team culture.
- Support junior engineers and interns by providing technical guidance and pairing.
- Deliver work that directly impacts measurable customer outcomes and business growth.
**Bonus points for: **
- Experience working cross-functionally with non-technical partners and translating complex technical concepts into clear business insights.
- Experience on a growth or product experimentation team.
- Familiarity with analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Looker, Qualtrics, etc.).
USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $123,000 USD and $172,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $111,000 CAD and $155,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
